Programs

The undergraduate programs provide a general professional education. The instruction is research-oriented, and SOE fosters students in accordance with their aptitude in order to develop students' capacity of innovation and creativity.

Program on Environmental Engineering

The objective is to create engineering technicians who are capable of operating water issues, and dealing with air pollution control, solid waste management and environmental remediation and planning.

Program Educational Objectives for Environmental Engineering

• Graduates will become principles in industry by solving emerging environmental problems with combined knowledge of engineering, science, and management;
• Graduates will enter the best graduate programs and engage in life-long learning with an understanding of their professional and ethical responsibility;
• Graduates will start-up and grow their own firms, and promote technology innovations and environmental sustainability;
• Graduates will become recognized experts and leaders in professional societies, government, consulting firms, and academic institutes.

Program on Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering

The objective is to create engineering technicians who are capable of managing systems of water supply and wastewater treatment.The students who are enrolled under Environmental Engineering Program can choose the Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering degree when they graduate.

Program Educational Objectives for Water Supply and Wastewater Engineering

Global Environment Program (GEP)

With the advent of economy globalization, environmental cooperation has become an increasingly important topic in international affairs. Meanwhile, China, one of the major emerging powers in the world, is confronting brand new challenges and opportunities in global environmental issues. In fact, how to seek the balance between economic growth and the environment has become a vital issue for China in the years to come. Unfortunately, China is in great need of professional talents in the field of global environmental cooperation. That is where GEP steps in, a program aiming to foster future global environmental leaders.
GEP was initiated in School of Environment in 2011 and was promoted to a university level program in 2013 after two years’ trial.
